The Freckle In Amsterdam

Here are a few memories from my few days in Amsterdam. It was a trip full of art, somewhat dodgy food and too much canal-picture taking. Though Amsterdam be but little, she is fierce – basically there is a lot to do in this little city! Here are some of my recommendations:

1) The Anne Frank House. It is a humbling and eye-opening experience.

2) The Rijksmuseum. It holds the finest Dutch Art and an incredibly chic cafe inside. But, I would skip the cafe and head for the soft serve in the square just outside the museum. Best soft serve I have ever had.

3) Picnic it up in Vondelpark.

4) Have lunch/dinner at the Mata Hari restaurant in the red light district. After lunch go have waffles in the Nieuwmarkt square – make tummy space!

Jess I also fell inlove with this city and you are so right it is small, yet it has so much to offer! Loved the Anne Frank house too, and of course the waffles:)
Favourite place in Europe for me!
